The GSA 1122 Pilot program has been expanded and this can really benefit allot of law enforcement, EMS and public safety agencies... Program Expansion—1122 Pilot Program Section 885 of the Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009 amended 10 U.S.C. 381, to expand the procurement authority under the 1122 Program beyond counter-drug activities, to include equipment for homeland security and emergency response activities. The statute further specifies that any equipment to be used for homeland security activities must be included on the Authorized Equipment List published by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
